Potable Water Storage, Scientifically designed conservancy tank which has 5 chambers containing
processing bacteria which processes all wastewater including the wastewater from the toilets. Therefore, there is no septic tank system at all on the property.
The conservancy tank services the entire property. The water is redistributed into a holding tank for water use in the garden.
There is also a water storage tank for municipal water which is also softened and
filtered before it is pumped into the house, i.e. the pressure variations and municipal
shut off's do not affect the pumping. There is also a pump that pumps water on demand
from the municipal holding tank.
There are 35 000 litres in 5 x 5000 tanks plus a 10 000 litre tank. The rainwater
harvesting system is entirely off the roof and every single drop of water that falls
on the roof is harvested into the rain tanks. All this water is supplied to the house
through a state of the art filtration and pump system.
On the roof are four solar panels which deal with all hot water systems and
the hot water system remains off unless there are cloudy days. There is electrical
back-up for cloudy/cold days.
Entrance to all bedrooms have direct outside access.
The bin area for garbage is to the one side together with the wash line and is not seen by any of the neighbours or from any other part of the house.
